What motivated you to work in veterinary medicine?

Get Hands on work with veterinary care in regards to the animal care field, I always like to learn new things and be well-rounded. I like treating animals and having things out.

What has been your most rewarding moment working in veterinary medicine?

When I worked in wildlife rehab, getting to save a patient, treating them, and see them released into the wild.

If you weren’t working at a veterinary clinic, what would you do?

Wildlife rehab or an animal rescue.

What is the most exotic animal you have treated?

Tigers, bears, bats, primates.

What animal scares you more than any other?

Sharks.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?

Becoming a sanctuary coordinator at 23 and creating programs and protocols on my own for that facility.

What do you do in your spare time?

Hang out with my dogs and watch TV or go for a nice hike and birdwatch.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Pizza.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

When people don’t have motivation or a good work ethic. Or when people aren’t open and honest.

What animals do you currently have?

2 cats and 2 dogs.

If you were to come back as an animal, what would it be and why?

Black bear – they can be very docile, curious, smart, and adaptable. But when provoked can protect themselves and their own.

What is your favorite childhood movie and why?

Lion King, the animals of course!

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Playing in the lake with my sister.

Name 5 things people might be surprised about if they knew it about you?

1. I can be a nerd – I love LOTR and playing D&D.

2. I lived in Florida for 4 years.

3. One of my favorites bands is Metallica. I like a lot of different music.

4. (If I had to choose) I would pick cats over dogs, even though I love both!

5. I used to work with tigers.
