Amelia’s passion for veterinary medicine began early while helping on her family’s dairy farm, where she quickly fell in love with working alongside the veterinarian. That hands-on experience sparked a lifelong interest in animal care and set her on the path she’s on today.
One of Amelia’s proudest moments in the field was successfully performing her first jugular blood draw on a sheep—a milestone that reflects her growing skill and confidence. She has a special place in her heart for all animals, from farm patients to the cats she has a natural way with.
Outside of work, Amelia enjoys fishing and horseback riding. At home, she cares for her two dogs, Henry and Koda, and her three cats, Moose, Pax, and Mazie. If she weren’t in veterinary medicine, she’d likely be working as a zookeeper, continuing her passion for animal care in another setting.
Fun facts about Amelia: she was a dancer growing up, used to play piano, and even has experience driving a forklift!
