What motivated you to work in veterinary medicine?

Passion for helping animals

What has been your most rewarding moment working in veterinary medicine?

It will be using my knowledge to care for my own animals

If you weren’t working at a veterinary clinic, what would you do?

I just retired in December 2021 so I would be cleaning my basement

What is the most exotic animal you have treated?

Iguana

What animal scares you more than any other?

Unpredictable monkeys

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?

Teaching other’s skills to support a family – I taught welding.

What do you do in your spare time?

My animals and my boyfriend take up most of my time, but swimming and gardening also

What is your favorite comfort food?

Grilled cheese with tomato soup

What is your biggest pet peeve?

People who say they will do something and then don’t

What animals do you currently have?

4 Shiba Inus, 1 Danish/Swedish Farmdog, 4 barn cats, and 2 Canaries

If you were to come back as an animal, what would it be and why?

A dog; as long as it’s to a good owner

What is your favorite childhood movie and why?

Mary Poppins or sound of Music because they have easy songs to learn

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Watching family get togethers where adults argue politics, religion, etc. and then eat a big meal and kiss and hug when they part

What are some things people might be surprised about?

1. I was once ranked #1 in Wisconsin in powerlifting

2. I taught self defense to women

3. Tofu tastes great

4. Pulling weeds is therapeutic

5. I own a home over 100 years old that was an old stagecoach stop for farmers going to Milwaukee – it is my money pit!
