Packing for a trip to see us for a C-section - what do you need for the trip here and back home?

We try to anticipate questions you might have about our C-sections and provide the answers here. If you need additional information please send email to blsac@charter.net.

  • C-SECTION SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR TRAVEL
  •
  • 1.  Towels (probably way more than is actually needed)
  • 2.  Suction bulb syringe
  • 3.  First aid kit
  • 4.  Heating pad (including adapter to plug into car lighter). If this isn't available a hot water bottle.
  • 5.  Ice chest or Laundry basket (to put puppies in layered with towels and able to be covered to keep in heat)
  • 6.  Swimming pool, with blanket (to put bitch in on the way home with babies. Large Vari-Kennel also works with the top off)
  • 7.  Crate for mom
  • 8.  Goats milk, feeding tube and syringe (including a container (I use a baby food jar) to warm the milk if feeding is necessary before leaving the clinic)
  • 9.  Water and dish - for bitch to drink
  • 10.  Kleenex (to potty the puppies on the way home if needed)
  • 11.  Paper towels
  • 12. Pedialyte
  • 13. Hemostats
  • 14. Washclothes
