Services


  • Reproductive Services: We offer a complete array of services from Semen freezing and storage on site to Transcervical Insemination to  fertility consultations for both males and females to genetic screeing to C-sections and assistance in whelping. We work closely with Whelpwise for high-risk pregnancies and whelpings.  We have 20 years of experience in working with breeders and breeding our own dogs and 10 years of experience in working with fresh and frozen semen. 
  • Reproductive services including short notice breedings (Surgical and non-surgical inseminations), semen shipment, emergecny semen freezing for medical reasons, and C-sections are usually available on an urgent basis.  Please all or E Mail for information.

  • OFA Services: Hips, Elbows, Patellas, Legg-Calve-Perthes, Shoulder, Sebaceous Adenitis, Thyroid, and Cardiac available.

  • Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy: Dr. Dan Griffiths is available to evaluate and treat your pet with this veterinary version of chiropractic care.

 

  • Aging Pet Care: Dr. Steph Moore has a special interest in the care and well-being of your aging pet and in aiding you in making their golden years comfortable and meaningful.  Quality of life for you and your pet are important to us.

 

  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs. We have in-house equipment to do blood, urine and fecal tests.

  • Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We offer Miminally Invasive Surgery such as cryosurgery, radiosurgery and laparoscopy to minimize anesthesia and incision sizes.Dr. Laing, a Board Certified Surgeon, is available in our pracitce 1 day a month for specialized surgical procedures.


 

  • Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

 

  • Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.Ultrasounds for pregnancy are available during routine appointments.  We have Dr. Darien, a Board Certified Radiologist available in our practice 1 day a month for complete abdominal ultrasounds and needle guided biopsies.


 

  • Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.


  • Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.


  • Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, Holistic supplements, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.


  • Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery. 


  • Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.


  • Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We work closely with you and Hill's and Iams/Eukanuba to assure we hae recommended the correct maintenance or therapeutic diet for your pet.


  • Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide consultations regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We have an association with Dr. Patricia McConnell's Dog's Best Friend for training classes and behavioral counseling.
